AMEPA, working with active members, has created a phone number that any patient, doctors' office and hospital discharge professional can call to report problems related to the implementation of competitive bidding.
The number rings to an answering service, 24 hours a day. Victims of bidding can leave a message to report any problems they are having, state their confusion and vent as to how CMS' bidding system is affecting them. The messages are monitored daily.
BELOW are tailored flyers for every bidding area, and states involved. The flyers feature information about the program, explain what to watch out for, the 888-876-3369 number and the phone numbers of each area's U.S. Senators and how to reach their U.S. Representatives.
WE ASK EVERYONE TO DISTRIBUTE THESE FLYERS TO THEIR PATIENTS AND TO ALL DOCTORS AND HOSPITALS IN YOUR AREA. THE SOONER THE BETTER AS SOME ARE ALREADY FEELING THE NEGATIVE AFFECTS OF THE PROGRAM
There is no easier way for patients to report problems than to call an 800 line. which is answered 24 hours a day.
AMEPA will share this information with all major organizations engaged in the effort to stop the bidding program.
Click below for the flyer to distribute to patients, doctors' offices, hospital discharge planners and other healthcare coordinators in your area.
